Organizational Coaching

Service Description

Values-driven organizations often have pioneering visions and incredible impact on their communities and constituents. However, it can be challenging to convey that vision and impact in a way that moves people to join your cause. In my decade leading organizational communications, I have seen how building a clear organizational story supports both inner alignment as well as outward growth, whether in funding or in beneficiaries. Drawing on this experience, as well as my work teaching Public Narrative, a leadership storytelling practice, with Professor Marshall Ganz at the Harvard Kennedy School, I now coach organizations to build courageous, authentic, and effective stories that move people to action. In an organizational coaching process, we will learn how to harness the power of story to the work of organizational impact. You will learn strategies for: - Reflecting on and honing organizational values - Effective and skillful communication of mission and strategy - Mapping and building connection with audience/constituents - Building an organizational "story bank" - Creating motivation and urgency to join chosen call to action, such as: ◦ Fundraising ◦ Program Recruitment ◦ Advocacy/Lobbying ◦ Media training ◦ Communications In organizational coaching programs, clients will learn both the theoretical framing and the practical tools for narrative-building, with an in-depth process tailored to meet your organization’s most urgent needs.
